Recently Bob had an experience where the Lord placed seven large precious gem stones in Bob's hands. Each stone was larger than his hands could hold. They were all glistening stones; each one a different color of the rainbow. Bob asked the Lord what these stones were and was told they were the seven eyes of the Holy Spirit of God or the seven attributes of the Holy Spirit according to John 14.

And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.(Amplified)

The Holy Spirit is the only God down here on this earth. He brings us to the knowledge of our sin and the need of our Savior the Lord Jesus Christ. When we call upon the name of Jesus for repentance of our sin and are born again, we then have the Holy Spirit of God

living in us. From that time onward we develop the characteristics or attributes of the Holy Spirit.

성령님께서는 이 지구에 내려오신 유일한 하나님이시다. 그분께서는 우리에게 우리 죄악의 지식과 우리의 구원자 예수 그리스도가 필요함을 가져와 준다. 우리가 우리 죄악의 회개를 위한 예수의 이름을 부르고 거듭날 때, 우리는 하나님의 거룩한 성령님께서 우리 안에 살아계심을 갖게 된다. 그 때부터 우리는 성령님의 특성 또는 속성을 개발한다.

 

These attributes are; Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener and Standby. Let's look at each one of these separately.

이 속성들은; 위안자, 상담자, 돕는자, 중보자, 옹호자, 강하게 하는 자 그리고 의지할 수 있는 자이시다. 이것들에 대한 각각을 따로 따로 보자.

 

 

Attributes of the Holy Spirit

• Comforter: Which one of us can't comfort another person in their time of need? Perhaps it's only speaking a kind word to express God's love for another in their time of despair. Maybe it's embracing someone who has just lost a loved one or perhaps lost their job. Being a comforter is simply putting other's needs ahead of your own.

• 위안자: 우리 중에 누가 다른 사람의 인생의 필요에 위안을 줄 수가 있는가? 어쩌면 그것은 오직 다른 사람의 절망의 시간에서 하나님의 사랑의 언어들을 말할 때일 것이다. 아마도 이것은 어떤 이가 사랑하는 사람을 잃거나 그들의 직업을 잃었을 때 그것을 끌어안는 것이다. 위안자가 된다는 것은 단순하게 자신의 필요에 앞서 다른 사람의 필요를 우선한다는 것이다.

 

• Counselor: We all have the ability to counsel one another because we have the Wisdom of the Ages dwelling inside us. As we mature in the Word of God and walk in His divine nature, we are able to counsel others back to righteousness and keep them from going down the wrong path of life. We acquire wisdom from our own failures in life so we can help others avoid those pitfalls.

• Helper: The ministry of helps is vital to the Body of Christ. The Church cannot operate without this ministry. The ministry of helps is the grease that keeps the wheel turning. Greeters, parking attendants, custodians, people who clean the sanctuary and furnish the necessities of the bathroom are just a few of the vital jobs that keep a church functioning properly. Although they are usually not noticeably recognized, the Church could not function without them. Is there any among us that cannot help in some capacity?

• Intercessor: Who among us cannot pray? We are all called to pray for one another. Paul says to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). We can intercede for anyone, anywhere, at any time. There is no time or distance in the spirit.

• 중보자: 우리 중에 누가 기도할 수 없는 사람 있는가? 우리는 모두 서로를 위해 기도하기 위하여 부르심을 받았다. 바울은 쉬지 말고 기도하라고 했다 (살전 5:17). 우리는 누군가를 위해, 어디에서나, 언제든지 중보 할 수 있다. 성령 안에서는 시간이나 거리는 상관 없다.

 

• Advocate: There are enough defense attorneys in the Body of Christ. Too often we point our finger at others in judgment instead of defending the righteous acts of the saints. We are called to be advocates; to plead the case for the innocent and for those who have no voice.

• 옹호자: 그리스도의 몸에는 방어하는 변호인이 충분히 있다. 우리는 성도들의 정의로운 행동으로 방어하는 것 대신에 너무 많이 우리의 손가락을 수시로 다른 사람들을 판단하는 손가락으로 지적을 한다. 우리는 옹호자로 부르심을 받았다; 결백한 사람과 자신을 위한 변호를 하지 못하는 사람들을 변호하기 위하여

 

• Strengthener: This simply means to strengthen another in their time of need whether it's physically, spiritually, financially, socially or relational. We need to reinforce the Body of Christ and become united instead of tearing each other apart. A threefold cord is not easily broken. When you strengthen your brother in fellowship with the Holy Spirit there is agreement made in Heaven and on earth.

• Standby: God will never leave us nor forsake us; He stands by us in every situation we encounter. We are called to stand by others also in their time of need. We can be their stability and remain steadfast when times are difficult. We can hold up their arms to simply be their support like Aaron and Hur did with Moses in the wilderness.

• 의지 할 수 있는 자: 하나님은 우리를 절대로 떠나시지도 않거니와 우리를 흔들지도 않으신다; 그는 우리가 대면하는 모든 상황 안에서 우리 곁에 계신다. 우리는 또한 다른 사람들이 그들의 인생에 필요가 요구되어질 때 그들 곁에 서 있도록 부르심을 받았다. 어려운 시간들이 오게 되면 우리가 그들의 안전이 되고, 확고함이 되어 줄 수 있다. 광야에서 모세를 도왔던 아론과 훌처럼 우리는 단순히 그들의 팔을 지지하여 올려 줄 수 있다.

Then Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side and one on the other side; so his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. (Amplified)

Covenant of His Love

Genesis 9:13 I set My bow [rainbow] in the cloud, and it shall be a token or sign of a covenant or solemn pledge between Me and the earth. (Amplified)

These precious stones are a reminder of God's covenant of His love. Each stone that Bob was given is a color of the rainbow and each one represents a different attribute of the Holy Spirit.

이 귀중한 보석들은 그분의 사랑인 하나님의 약속을 생각나게 하는 것이다. 밥에게 주어진 각각의 보석들은 무지개의 색깔이었으며 각각의 것들은 성령의 다른 속성들을 대표하는 것이었다.

 

As the Holy Spirit is poured out on the Body of Christ, we become living stones in the hand of God. Therefore, in all our labors, our life is poured out to the Body of Christ by becoming the comforter, counselor, helper, intercessor, advocate, strengthener and standby. Then we are able to meet the needs of others simply by discerning what the Holy Spirit is showing us.

성령님께서 그리스도의 몸 위로 부어지는 때, 우리는 하나님의 손 안에 있는 산 돌이 되어진다. 그러므로, 우리의 모든 노동과, 우리의 삶은 그리스도의 지체에게 위안자, 상담자, 돕는자, 중보자, 옹호자, 강하게 하는 자 및 의지할 수 있는 자가 되어서 그 위에 부어진다. 그러면 우리는 성령님께서 우리에게 보여주는 다른 사람들의 필요들을 쉽게 분별할 수 있게 되고 채워 줄 수 있게 된다.
